Body Composition Transformation
Muscle and fat are endocrine organs, actively producing hormones and immune regulating cytokines. Muscle has strong positive effects, fat negative. Improving your body composition via more muscle, less fat, is often the single best investment you can make in your current and future health.
Within this focused programme, we will:
-
Establish a reliable way to test and track your muscle and fat mass so we know how they are trending
-
Pick the best fit approach for you, choosing from proven, reliably effective tactics
-
Design your diet to maximise satiety and enable pleasure, whilst also enabling muscle gain or fat loss
-
Properly programme your exercise, the type, frequency, intensity, duration, everything
-
Find the opportunities to mitigate your stress and optimise sleep, so you have the best opportunity to make consistent progress
-
Identify where supplements can make the journey easier or faster (they are not magic, but some can help)
-
If the focus is on fat loss, minimise your muscle loss
-
If the focus is on gaining muscle, maximise that whilst limiting fat gain
Gaining muscle and losing fat does not have to be difficult yet there are many ways to go about it poorly, and be frustrated with the outcomes. We will make sure your approach is effective and sustainable.

How it Works - What to Expect
This is the flow
1. Onboarding
After your Onboarding Call, free of charge, no commitment, when you confirm go-ahead I will guide you to complete a comprehensive health questionnaire, track your diet for a short period & begin testing & monitoring your body composition. These will provide essential inputs for our first consultation.
2. First Consultation & Body Composition Transformation Plan
We will co-create your personal body composition plan, agreeing on the changes you can make. We can do this virtually OR using my clinic room in Canary Wharf, London
3. Follow-Up Consultations & Plan
Each time we reconnect, we will be reviewing your progress and results, refreshing your priorities, and iterating your Body Composition Transformation plan to match. Again, these sessions can be virtual or in person at Canary Wharf, London.
4. Programme Wrap-Up and Next Steps
Based on your plan implementation and retesting results, we will refresh your plan and confirm options for next steps.
5. Payments
I offer options for one-off payment or payment-spreading during a programme
FAQ's
-
What is a Discovery Call?Nutritional therapy works best as a strong, trusting client-practitioner partnership. We begin with a discovery call to determine whether we share confidence to go forward together. By the end of the call, you should feel comfortable and confident in the choice you will make to work with me and which package is the best fit for you. If anything you want or need is outside of my scope I will explain that up front, and help you connect with others if appropriate.
-
What happens after a Discovery Call? You will have the option to select a programme and begin working with me. You will create an account on the secure health management platform I use, giving you access to all your records and resources. After you complete an essential health goals, issues and history questionnaire that enables me to learn and prepare, we will arrange our first consultation.
-
Is Nutritional and lifestyle therapy right for me?Unless your diet and lifestyle are models of perfection, very probably. It can be very surprising to find how many positive changes can be enjoyed by making great use of the extensive research and clinical insights within nutrition and lifestyle medicine. Nutrition and lifestyle medicine does not claim to treat or cure any disease, and if I identify any health issues that I cannot help you with, I will tell you about them up front.
-
How evidence-based / science-based is Nutritional Therapy? You can fully expect that everything that we include within your personalised health plan has an evidence base within the scientific literature. You also have the assurance of working with a BANT and CNHC registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, working in alignment with a code of conduct for professional practice and assurance of ongoing education.
-
What is “lifestyle” medicine?Lifestyle medicine refers to many things, excluding diet and nutrition, that can influence our physical, mental and emotional health and disease risk. Well researched examples include exercise, activity, sleep, breathing, stress reduction, social contact and purpose.
-
Will you recommend tests? If there are tests available that will help us to determine the root causes of your issues, or enable us to observe the impact of changes we make in order to iterate your health plan, I will explain their value and cost and make them available to you. Sometimes, functional testing offers an alternative to longer periods of experimentation, providing the benefit of identifying effective interventions more swiftly in exchange for their direct cost.
-
Will you recommend supplements?Possibly yes. My approach is certainly “food first”, but if there are supplements for which there is strong evidence of positive impact for your issues or goals, I will recommend specific brands and products to you, and happily explain the rationale and evidence-base for their benefit.
-
Why are your programmes a minimum of 8 weeks? It takes time to progress through the loop of making changes, observing the outcomes, and then adjusting your plan based on the results. I will seek to give you quick wins but also ensure your health plan is sustainable for you long-term.
-
How do you collaborate with healthcare professionals?Wherever possible and helpful I will seek a dialogue with other professionals engaged in your care. This can include, for example, writing to ask your GP to consider testing that is available to you via their practice, or to request a medications review before we make a change with potential interactions.
-
Do you accept Health Insurance for payment? e.g., BUPA?Your health insurer *may* include cover for Nutritional Therapy service within your policy. This varies by policy, and all of Aviva, Axa Health, BUPA, Simply Health, Vitality and WPA have at least some policies that include eligibility. If your policy includes cover, it will be in the form of reimbursing *you* part or all of the fees. To be sure, please do query directly with your policy provider, asking them about cover for nutritional therapy consultation or service.
-
Do you offer in-person consults within a clinic?Renting clinical space in London involves significant fixed costs and time constraints which may well not be a good fit for you as a client. Avoiding these enables me not to need to inflate my fees for you. However where possible, if you have access to fully private office space in your place of work, and your office is within central London (Zone 1), City of London or Canary Wharf, I will very happily visit to make one or more of our consultations in-person.
